Magnetic Track Lights

Ronse provides affordable magnetic track lights that can be installed in a variety of ways, including recessed, ceiling and suspended modes.
This spatial magnetic lighting system is flexible and can be easily installed in magnetic rails to continuously follow angles on a flat or three-dimensional surface, and has become a new trend in track lighting.
How to install magnetic track lights?

1. Mount the Track: Use screws or mounting brackets to secure the track to the ceiling or wall at the marked locations. Make sure the track is level and securely fastened to the surface.

2. Connect the Power: Turn off the power to the circuit where you will be installing the track lights. Connect the power supply to the track according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This may involve wiring the power feed to the track and connecting it to the electrical supply.

3. Attach the Lights: Insert the magnetic track light fixtures onto the track by aligning the magnets on the fixture with the metal track. Slide the fixture along the track to the desired position. Repeat this step for each light fixture you want to install.

How does magnetic track light work?

Magnetic track lights work by using magnets to attach light fixtures to a metal track, which contains electrical conductors that supply power to the fixtures.

How to choose magnetic track light?

1. As there are various magnetic track systems in the market, make sure the magnetic track lights you choose are compatible with the type and size of track you have installed. Check the specifications of both the lights and the track to ensure they are compatible.

2. Consider the brightness or light output of the fixtures, typically measured in lumens.

3. Choose the color temperature of the light fixtures based on the desired ambiance and functionality of the space.

4. Choose magnetic track lights from reputable manufacturers known for their quality and durability. It’s prefer to choose the lights with CE certification.

What is the difference between magnetic track and normal track?

1. Normal Track Lighting

– Normal track lighting, also known as conventional track lighting or line voltage track lighting, operates at high voltage and using a standard electrical connection where the fixtures are powered directly from the electrical supply in the ceiling.

– In normal track lighting systems, the track serves as a conduit for electrical wiring, delivering power to each fixture through metal conductors embedded in the track.

– Fixtures in normal track lighting systems are typically connected to the track using simple mechanical or electrical connections, such as twist-lock connectors or friction-fit contacts.

– Normal track lighting systems are suitable for a wide range of applications and are often used in residential, commercial, and retail settings.

2. Magnetic Track Lighting

– Magnetic track lighting, also known as low-voltage track lighting or magnetic low-voltage (MLV) track lighting, uses a magnetic transformer to power the lighting fixtures.

– In magnetic track lighting systems, the track contains a low-voltage electrical conductor, usually a pair of parallel metal strips or rails, which carries the electrical current from the transformer to the fixtures.

– Fixtures in magnetic track lighting systems feature magnetic contacts that connect to the track rails and draw power from the low-voltage conductor.

– Magnetic track lighting is often preferred for applications where precise control over lighting intensity and color temperature is desired, such as in art galleries, museums, or architectural lighting designs.
